After having played for 9 minutes, Ioseba Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gadir's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ioseba Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guifre Roca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Espartaco Goyanes having to interfere. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ioseba Rico sped through FC Sanfeliu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tulio Clemente. Lisandro Litago's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Tulio Clemente skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Espartaco Goyanes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nazario Cacheres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th minute, Gadir's Tipi Prieto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tipi Prieto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gadir protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tipi Prieto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for FC Sanfeliu. Israel Rajoi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Espartaco Goyanes. 1-1. Beila Mudarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Espartaco Goyanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guifre Roca in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lisandro Litago to strike the kick off in the second half. Gadir's Espartaco Goyanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazario Cacheres in the 52nd minute of play. Tulio Clemente came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gadir's Lisandro Litago. But to his dismay, Lisandro Litago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 59th minute, Nazario Cacheres got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Vidal Figueroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nazario Cacheres in the 69th minute of play forced Gadir's goalkeeper Espartaco Goyanes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Lisandro Litago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tulio Clemente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Vidal Figueroa fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Sanfeliu's protests and gave Vidal Figueroa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Vidal Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Espartaco Goyanes was a little too slow when Nazario Cacheres got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 74th minute. The score was now 3-2. 78 minutes into the game, Lisandro Litago cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Tulio Clemente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lisandro Litago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tulio Clemente read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Gadir was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lisandro Litago to maneuver through the defense. Marcio Huguet struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Tulio Clemente didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gadir. Tulio Clemente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Litago in the 96th minute of play.
