República Zaragoza's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave San Fernando CD the free kick. The supporters of San Fernando CD booed when República Zaragoza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lander Casta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrico Galnares might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Belo Morado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrico Galnares ran back to his position shaking his head. Belo Morado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrico Galnares in the 23rd minute of play. Lander Casta took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caitano Cainzos. Caitano Cainzos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 33 minutes into the game, República Zaragoza's Lander Casta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caitano Cainzos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Caitano Cainzos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Igor Canyelles in the 38th minute. Oto Folch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Enrico Galnares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Canyelles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Enrico Galnares came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the San Fernando CD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enrico Galnares couldn't finish the play. A collision led to San Fernando CD getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Andolin Duarte hit a great ball. If Enrico Galnares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of República Zaragoza booed when San Fernando CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oro Doblas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Román Griful hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute, República Zaragoza's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Enrico Galnares fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Belo Morado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bautista Fuente, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Berriotxoa Blazquez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Cisco Rapado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Belo Morado. República Zaragoza's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lander Casta got his second yellow card in the match during the 85th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 85th match minute, República Zaragoza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lander Casta to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, San Fernando CD's Cisco Rapado tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Enrico Galnares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belo Morado having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Galnares got free with Belo Morado in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the San Fernando CD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for República Zaragoza.
