Javier De la Rosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roger Figueroa having to make a save. If Zacarías Mezquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute of the match, Javier De la Rosa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Roger Figueroa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 20th match minute, El Puerto De Santa María FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bizen Olle to maneuver through the defense. Roger Figueroa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Javier De la Rosa's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, El Puerto De Santa María FC's Luis-Jose Borrás got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in El Cocon's zone, Neron Cabrera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabricio Lillo came out of the goal and Neron Cabrera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Manolo Casals came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the El Puerto De Santa María FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manolo Casals couldn't finish the play. In the 29th match minute, El Cocon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felipo Santiago to maneuver through the defense. If Zacarías Mezquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Neron Cabrera left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Puerto De Santa María FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 37th match minute, El Puerto De Santa María FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zahar Sauca to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Manolo Casals's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabricio Lillo was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Zuberoa Crespo charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zuberoa Crespo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The attack was good, but when Javier De la Rosa in the 86th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The supporters of El Cocon booed when El Puerto De Santa María FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucio Lagunas didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in El Puerto De Santa María FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! In the 95th minute, Zacarías Mezquita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Figueroa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the El Cocon players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
