An unexpectedly hard shot by Gení Lozano in the 5th minute of play forced Altea la Vieja C.F.'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Losada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arguisal CF's Barros Galego proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Arguisal CF from getting a goal against them. When Loren Astudillo fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altea la Vieja C.F.'s protests and gave Loren Astudillo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 13th minute, Loren Astudillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Loren Astudillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Barros Galego. Arguisal CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loren Astudillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Gení Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mino Valerón sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Hidalgo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Barros Galego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felix Hidalgo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Barros Galego came out and tried to block the shot, but Felix Hidalgo slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 29th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramón Clemente got free with Barros Galego in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Altea la Vieja C.F.'s zone, Xabier Ramis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Losada came out of the goal and Xabier Ramis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xabier Ramis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Losada having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Arguisal CF's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Hidalgo came free, but Barros Galego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gení Lozano in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Losada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xabier Ramis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rodolfo Losada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmelo Diez charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carmelo Diez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 48th minute, Carmelo Diez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felix Hidalgo was the one to do the kick off. The audience held their breath when Doroteo Casta in the 59th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rodolfo Losada's left hand side. Loren Astudillo was shown his second yellow card after 60 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ramón Clemente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Gení Lozano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodolfo Losada was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Mino Valerón recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gení Lozano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 72ndth minute tested the skills of Rodolfo Losada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 79 minutes into the game, Ramón Clemente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Barros Galego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arguisal CF's Barros Galego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Clemente in the 83rd minute of play. Ramón Clemente struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Barros Galego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altea la Vieja C.F.. After 85 played minutes Arguisal CF got a freekick which was hit by Ginés Canyelles. The supporters of Altea la Vieja C.F. booed when Arguisal CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fran Torrente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Altea la Vieja C.F.'s Rodolfo Losada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ginés Canyelles in the 91st minute of play. Rodolfo Losada was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tato Saez. After a defensive mix-up in Arguisal CF's zone, Ramón Clemente stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barros Galego came out of the goal and Ramón Clemente tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Altea la Vieja C.F. support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
