The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the La Vega defense, Evelio Segura kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabel Sobera. The La Vega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabel Sobera should have stopped the shot. 9 minutes into the game, Domeka Pareja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. In the 9th minute, Domeka Pareja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Aniol Higuera managed to get in a good position for a shot. La Vega's supporters rose to their feet, but Aniol Higuera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jakes Teresa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute Blasi Lagunas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernabel Sobera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blasi Lagunas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabel Sobera having to interfere. Bernabel Sobera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blasi Lagunas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evelio Segura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, Blasi Lagunas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernabel Sobera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blasi Lagunas in the 30th minute of the match. The supporters of La Vega booed when Chaiñas. F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domeka Pareja didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakes Teresa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aniol Higuera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in La Vega's zone, Blasi Lagunas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernabel Sobera came out of the goal and Blasi Lagunas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blasi Lagunas to strike the kick off in the second half. Ramone Sacristán received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jakes Teresa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blasi Lagunas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernabel Sobera having to interfere. Jakes Teresa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramone Sacristán in the 63rd minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Evelio Segura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chaiñas. F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to La Vega getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Arnalt Aguado hit a great ball. If Blasi Lagunas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Xinto Zapico was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Vega's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chaiñas. F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Chaiñas. F.C. booed when La Vega was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Zapico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes La Vega got a freekick which was hit by Lico Cañadas. La Vega's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
