Primitivo Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachary Jeziorkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Primitivo Cordoba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Timoteo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cordarell Fuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the last second Primitivo Cordoba throw himself and got hold of the ball when Juan-Francisco Ecija in the 21stth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Valencia booed when Orihuela Deportiva was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zachary Jeziorkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orihuela Deportiva's Cordarell Fuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bautista Vila in the 28th minute of play. Juan-Francisco Ecija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primitivo Cordoba read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Primitivo Cordoba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After having played for 34 minutes, Bautista Vila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valencia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bautista Vila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Bautista Vila came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Valencia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bautista Vila couldn't finish the play. Carmelo Fresnos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Primitivo Cordoba having to interfere. Juan-Francisco Ecija recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carmelo Fresnos struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Primitivo Cordoba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orihuela Deportiva. If Juan-Francisco Ecija had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timoteo Leal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Valencia's Javier Mas got a free kick in the 68th minute. Cordarell Fuentes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Leal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Timoteo Leal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Primitivo Cordoba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juan-Francisco Ecija's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Orihuela Deportiva's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Timoteo Leal scored to the left of an out of position Cordarell Fuentes, making the score, 2-1. In the 95th match minute, Valencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Salvador Pedraza to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Orihuela Deportiva players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
