The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Xicu Verdu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis-Miguel Aguilo was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. When Aketza Baños fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SolsonaARRELS's protests and gave Aketza Baños a yellow card for diving instead. Aketza Baños kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes in the game, Gau Sierra fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Luis-Miguel Aguilo having to interfere. Xicu Verdu struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Luis-Miguel Aguilo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting Vaduz. Apolo Cao hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, Federico Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ignacio Leseduarte hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Mino Cañadas charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mino Cañadas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sporting Vaduz getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Mino Cañadas hit a great ball. José Serena, 28 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Elivareo Cazorla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Coira having to interfere. In the 38th match minute, Sporting Vaduz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xicu Verdu to maneuver through the defense. If Gau Sierra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xicu Verdu in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis-Miguel Aguilo saved SolsonaARRELS from getting behind. Gau Sierra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xicu Verdu to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SolsonaARRELS's zone, Xicu Verdu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis-Miguel Aguilo came out of the goal and Xicu Verdu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, SolsonaARRELS's goal looked a bit too open when Xicu Verdu came free, but Luis-Miguel Aguilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luis-Miguel Aguilo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gau Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, SolsonaARRELS's goal looked a bit too open when Xicu Verdu came free, but Luis-Miguel Aguilo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Carles Negro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SolsonaARRELS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Vaduz the free kick. Luis-Miguel Aguilo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 98 minutes into the game, Sporting Vaduz's Xicu Verdu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis-Miguel Aguilo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.
