Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Santana Casados short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Ovando Zapata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Macias Munoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bela Vega in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bela Vega in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Macias Munoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Santana Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Benito Prats had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asier Buendia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Macias Munoz having to make a save. In the 34th minute, Bela Vega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th match minute, Cali FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeruko Casanova to maneuver through the defense. Cali FC's Macias Munoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bela Vega in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Nocellas's Bela Vega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Macias Munoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Ovando Zapata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benito Prats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Nocellas were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Asier Buendia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Olo Orbiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bela Vega got free with Macias Munoz in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benito Prats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Ovando Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Xicu Acarreta came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cali FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xicu Acarreta couldn't finish the play. After 58 played minutes Cali FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeruko Casanova. 63 minutes into the match, Cali FC's goalkeeper Macias Munoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bela Vega. Nocellas's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
