Mitos SD's Ján Čillík played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quinito Bargas in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Mitos SD getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tito Verdu hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Mitos SD defense, Cucao Murcia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ján Čillík. The Mitos SD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ján Čillík should have stopped the shot. After 37 played minutes Mitos SD got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Pascual. After 38 played minutes, River Plate de Barcelona's Quinito Bargas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ján Čillík came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in River Plate de Barcelona reached it. River Plate de Barcelona's Marin Acosta got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 42 minutes into the game, River Plate de Barcelona's Cucao Murcia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ján Čillík made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cucao Murcia in the 46th minute of play forced Mitos SD's goalkeeper Ján Čillík to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Tito Verdu made the kick off in the second half. When Abel Pardo fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mitos SD's protests and gave Abel Pardo a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Mitos SD got a freekick which was hit by Abel Pardo. River Plate de Barcelona's Marin Acosta got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cucao Murcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Ján Čillík made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tito Verdu during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of River Plate de Barcelona booed when Mitos SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tito Verdu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Atauri Japón reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ján Čillík. The goal made the score 1-6. Jordi Astudillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ján Čillík having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Mitos SD's goalkeeper Ján Čillík had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marin Acosta. Ján Čillík showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cucao Murcia in the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Pastor Illan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sinforiano Sans came free in the 86th minute and tried to tip the ball over Ján Čillík, but to the joy of Mitos SD's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. The Mitos SD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. River Plate de Barcelona were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
