The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Olof Dixner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svedstrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olof Dixner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sylvester Kloo struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Povl Benson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mejlby SIK. Ejnar Arrild fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Knut Degart having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, Svedstrup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Hegnet to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Hans Sollann in the 24th minute really tested Povl Benson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Olof Dixner took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Knut Degart. Knut Degart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Al Hegnet kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Svedstrup's Povl Benson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by August Flenør in the 44th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Olof Dixner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Svedstrup fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for August Flenør to strike the kick off in the second half. Al Hegnet's late challenge caught a Mejlby SIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Al Hegnet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Al Hegnet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 58 minutes Svedstrup's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hans Sollann who took care of the corner kick. It was a well-played corner which Sylvester Kloo managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Olof Dixners short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Knut Degart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Frank Farbo fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mejlby SIK's protests and gave Frank Farbo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Frank Farbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 63 played minutes Mejlby SIK got a freekick which was hit by Sylvester Kloo. After having played for 66 minutes, Ejnar Arrild managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Svedstrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ejnar Arrild was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Knut Degart showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ejnar Arrild in the 70th minute of the match. If Olof Dixner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. August Flenør fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Povl Benson having to interfere. Olof Dixner did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Knut Degart 77 minutes into the match. In the 80th match minute, Svedstrup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Anning to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mejlby SIK's Hans Sollann got a free kick in the 91st minute. If August Flenør had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Svedstrup walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
