After 6 played minutes Harold Korting rounded Sårup SIK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Sårup SIK's Cristian Plæhn broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Mathias Hvidtfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sårup SIK! The goalkeeper, Kenneth Værnstrøm, was totally fooled by Århus FF's Lennert Garny, who 16 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Patrik Møltved came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Sårup SIK's Mathias Hvidtfeldt. But to his dismay, Mathias Hvidtfeldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Ricki Nyvad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Århus FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ricki Nyvad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricki Nyvad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Hvidtfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Patrik Møltved tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd play minute Ricki Nyvad came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Kenneth Værnstrøm. 3-1. Harold Korting did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-1 to the left of a surprised Kenneth Værnstrøm 36 minutes into the match. When Ricki Nyvad came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Århus FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricki Nyvad couldn't finish the play. Harold Kortings short, quick shot in the 44thth minute got Kenneth Værnstrøm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Sårup SIK's Kenneth Værnstrøm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold Korting in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Harold Korting was the one to do the kick off. Mathias Hvidtfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrik Møltved having to interfere. A collision led to Århus FF getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Ricard Kirkefeldt hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sårup SIK's Mathias Hvidtfeldt got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
