Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kevin Kjølstad took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 4 minutes, Owe Bernig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mågerne and the Rye BK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Owe Bernig kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After having played for 6 minutes, Erik Horsum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mågerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Horsum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 7th minute of the game. One of Mågerne:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rye BK:s goal. Christopher Korting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Kjølstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mågerne defense, Kevin Kjølstad kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christopher Korting. The Mågerne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christopher Korting should have stopped the shot. After having played for 26 minutes, Owe Bernig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mågerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Owe Bernig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Johan Thyren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Horsum, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Owe Bernig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Rye BK's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Horsum came free, but Johan Thyren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rdth minute of the game Owe Bernig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rye BK's Johan Thyren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Erik Horsum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Johan Thyren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Erik Horsum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mågerne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Johan Thyren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Owe Bernig showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 53 minute of play. Mågerne's Christopher Korting played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Kjølstad in the 59th minute of play. A hard shot 61 in the game by Erik Horsum from a close distance when the talented Johan Thyren managed to make a qualified save. Rye BK's players were relieved. Christopher Korting made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svend Alsbro in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owe Bernig in the 68th minute of play forced Rye BK's goalkeeper Johan Thyren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Owe Bernig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mågerne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Owe Bernig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Mågerne's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Vinsteen came free, but Christopher Korting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 86 minutes of play, Mågerne's Erik Horsum made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johan Thyren was left in no man's land by his defense there! 90 minutes into the match, Mågerne's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Vinsteen came free, but Christopher Korting reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Mågerne got a freekick which was hit by Werner Hvejsel. Mågerne's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
