The supporters of BVB Dortmund booed when Loosers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Lienen didn't get a good kick on the ball. The BVB Dortmund fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when BVB Dortmund's Lennarth Jarlhøj looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. If Lennarth Jarlhøj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennarth Jarlhøj scored 0-3 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josip Matt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 0-4 became the score in the 32nd minute when Lennarth Jarlhøj elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Lennarth Jarlhøj managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BVB Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lennarth Jarlhøj was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ralph Schöner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arminius Fischer in the 37th minute of play. If Arminius Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in BVB Dortmund's zone, Arminius Fischer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralph Schöner came out of the goal and Arminius Fischer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Detlev Wehrheim kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BVB Dortmund's Omid Bäron got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Loosers FC's Josip Matt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Loosers FC from getting a goal against them. Gottlieb Gläßel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josip Matt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arman Stenström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 74 minute of play. When Boris Feiert came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Loosers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boris Feiert couldn't finish the play. After 80 minutes, Arman Stenström made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Loosers FC's Josip Matt tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute, Kassian Blass hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Julius Fulda came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Loosers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Julius Fulda couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the game, Boris Feiert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Loosers FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BVB Dortmund the free kick. In the 90th minute, Lennarth Jarlhøj fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Josip Matt, passed just outside the right post. After some careless play in the BVB Dortmund defense, Einar Steinmetz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralph Schöner. The BVB Dortmund fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralph Schöner should have stopped the shot. When the match was over BVB Dortmund could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Loosers FC throughout the match.
