The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Nahwinden FSV booed when Zuckerberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens Zurcher didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tammo Campe came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Zuckerberg's Christian Tenhagen. But to his dismay, Christian Tenhagen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hannes Volkmann in the 17th minute of play forced Zuckerberg's goalkeeper Henrik Ningel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christian Tenhagen succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Tammo Campe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Queitsch, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After 23 minutes, Erhard von Fraunhofen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nahwinden FSV and the Zuckerberg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zuckerberg's Erik Queitsch got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 26 played minutes Zuckerberg got a freekick which was hit by Jens Zurcher. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Tenhagen was the one to do the kick off. Christian Tenhagen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tammo Campe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Nahwinden FSV getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Reinald Breitenbach hit a great ball. Christian Tenhagen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tammo Campe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. If Erik Queitsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erik Queitschs short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Tammo Campe to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Reinald Breitenbach charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinald Breitenbach the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 69 played minutes Nahwinden FSV got a freekick which was hit by Reinald Breitenbach. Nahwinden FSV's Tammo Campe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Tenhagen in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Erik Queitsch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zuckerberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Tim Neuhausen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, Nahwinden FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Erik Queitsch fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 88th match minute, Nahwinden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Bülow to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute Tim Neuhausen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Ningel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Zuckerberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Zuckerberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
