Falkenhütten FC's Fred Scholzen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philipp Roese in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute of the match Benny Dreher sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fred Scholzen skillfully saved the ball. Fred Scholzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredi Klanthe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Philipp Roese in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fred Scholzen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the game, Sigmund Grunert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Falkenhütten FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lutze the free kick. A collision led to Falkenhütten FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sigmund Grunert hit a great ball. After having played for 26 minutes, Albert Habibi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falkenhütten FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albert Habibi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fredi Klanthe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Philipp Roese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Scholzen having to interfere. With a little luck, Lutze's Lars Kösters got control of the ball when Ari Nelles tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philipp Roese in the 33rd minute of play forced Falkenhütten FC's goalkeeper Fred Scholzen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Falkenhütten FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Marinus Nester hit a great ball. Fred Scholzen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philipp Roese's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Fred Scholzen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fredi Klanthe in the 40th minute of play. Marco Bork made a great header on Lutze's corner, it was just that Falkenhütten FC's Fred Scholzen managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fredi Klanthe was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Lutze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Morris Teupel to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Lutze's Philipp Roese sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fred Scholzen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Philipp Roese recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fred Scholzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredi Klanthe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 73rd minute, Renke Gambke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Philipp Roese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred Scholzen having to interfere. Fred Scholzen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredi Klanthe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes, Kai Schlünz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Falkenhütten FC and the Lutze players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kai Schlünz kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Lutze's goal looked a bit too open when Ari Nelles came free, but Lars Kösters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
