Volker Jäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Dirk-Justus Thoroe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 22 minutes of play, Holtensen's Lemmy Trendelenburg made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dirk-Justus Thoroe was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivica Höhne in the 26th minute of play forced Holtensen's goalkeeper Joachim Rüther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute, Bart Reiner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lemmy Trendelenburg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dirk-Justus Thoroe having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Frohnschwenden's zone, Lemmy Trendelenburg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk-Justus Thoroe came out of the goal and Lemmy Trendelenburg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabrizio Kessler's late challenge caught a Holtensen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrizio Kessler helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Holtensen booed when Frohnschwenden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Kessler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Holtensen's Iso Rachel shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dirk-Justus Thoroe but with some difficulty. In the 45th minute, Holtensen's Volker Jäck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfried Mantovan made a kick off. If Lemmy Trendelenburg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Holtensen's Lemmy Trendelenburg in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Volker Jäck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Holtensen's supporters rose to their feet, but Volker Jäck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dirk-Justus Thoroe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Holtensen's Lemmy Trendelenburg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dirk-Justus Thoroe narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dirk-Justus Thoroe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lemmy Trendelenburg in the 75th minute of the match. Flo Behrendt lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Holtensen fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. If Wilfried Mantovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frohnschwenden's Dirk-Justus Thoroe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lemmy Trendelenburg in the 88th minute of play. 96 minutes into the game, Thaddäus Bader was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frohnschwenden's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Holtensen the free kick.
