The coaching staff of Oferdingen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rolf Mertens had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 9 minutes into the game, one of Oferdingen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 23rd minute Helge Striegel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Furst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Helge Striegel during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th minute, Joachim Felden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Memet Kliemann in the 85th minute of play forced Oferdingen's goalkeeper Lysander Gundelach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Helge Striegel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Furst having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Oferdingen's Maurice Faust got a free kick in the 96th minute.
