When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Robby Jörg took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Luis Hommertgen to make any attempt to save it. Claudio Flöge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Imre Hasebrink in the 12th minute of play forced MTV Rollex Altmark's goalkeeper Janek Sager to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Janek Sager showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Flöge, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Janek Sager was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Joachim Küpper-Adebisi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Janek Sager saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, MTV Rollex Altmark's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Flöge came free, but Janek Sager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Janek Sager took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Küpper-Adebisi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th match minute, MTV Rollex Altmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charlie Banz to maneuver through the defense. Schötmar's supporters rose to their feet, but Joachim Küpper-Adebisi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Janek Sager breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudio Flöge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes MTV Rollex Altmark got a freekick which was hit by Robby Jörg. Joachim Küpper-Adebisi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Janek Sager having to interfere. Janek Sager didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schötmar. Janek Sager made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Joachim Küpper-Adebisi sent off a good shot on target. Robby Jörg hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Luis Hommertgen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Knut Breitmacher, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Knut Breitmacher struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Luis Hommertgen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MTV Rollex Altmark. Robby Jörg kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 84th minute of the match Schötmar got a corner. MTV Rollex Altmark's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Claudio Flöge ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Claudio Flöge almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MTV Rollex Altmark's Janek Sager did a great save. Luis Hommertgen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Breitmacher, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Schötmar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
