Finn Böckhaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Norbert Lank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Silvio Paschen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tus Esens's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Paschen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th match minute, Tus Esens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marko Adler to maneuver through the defense. Kranichborn FSV were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Tus Esens's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulfert Popitz took the corner. The corner led Kranichborn FSV's Ulfert Popitz to fire away a dangerous shot which Xaver Eickhoff despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Finn Böckhaus charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Finn Böckhaus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Norbert Lank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Finn Böckhaus went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Gregor Wyes came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Kranichborn FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gregor Wyes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Tus Esens's zone, Tobi Wintergerst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xaver Eickhoff came out of the goal and Tobi Wintergerst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Nolan Kneissli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tus Esens's supporters rose to their feet, but Nolan Kneissli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norbert Lank breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tus Esens's Silvio Paschen got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Nolan Kneissli notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Kranichborn FSV's Norbert Lank. Norbert Lank was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 37th minute Finn Böckhaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Lank saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tus Esens's Silvio Paschen got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Finn Böckhaus struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Norbert Lank didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tus Esens.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tobi Wintergerst to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Tobi Wintergerst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nolan Kneissli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 59 played minutes Kranichborn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Wulf Mendel. Björn Unruh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 played minutes Kranichborn FSV got a freekick which was hit by Tobi Wintergerst. Norbert Lank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Finn Böckhaus in the 65th minute of the match. If Finn Böckhaus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finn Böckhaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Kranichborn FSV booed when Tus Esens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Finn Böckhaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Finn Böckhaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Lank having to interfere. 79 minutes into the match, Tus Esens's Nolan Kneissli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Norbert Lank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregor Wyes ran back to his position shaking his head. Tus Esens played a much better game than Kranichborn FSV and deserved their victory. The Kranichborn FSV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
