Spectators: 7361 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Oferdingen's Battista Schmelzer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 27th minute, Helge Striegel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Battista Schmelzer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Battista Schmelzer took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Norbert Lank. Norbert Lank dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kranichborn FSV's Norbert Lank played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Striegel in the 39th minute of play. Battista Schmelzer struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Norbert Lank didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oferdingen. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Tobi Wintergerst made the kick off in the second half. Helge Striegel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Helge Striegel recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Norbert Lank. Helge Striegel showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Battista Schmelzer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Norbert Lank came out and tried to block the shot, but Battista Schmelzer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 65th minute. The corner ended in Rolf Mertens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kranichborn FSV's Norbert Lank did a great save. In the 71st minute, Helge Striegel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Battista Schmelzer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Lank having to interfere. Norbert Lank was a little too slow when Helge Striegel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-4. The Oferdingen players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
