Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Fortuna Ballendorf's Philipp Fuchtel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Winfried Hundt fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fortuna Ballendorf's protests and gave Winfried Hundt a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Fortuna Ballendorf got a freekick which was hit by Winfried Hundt. Löveling's Deniz Amstutz got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredrik Banz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jörg Haller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, Fortuna Ballendorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akira Hennrich to maneuver through the defense. Jörg Haller made an important save on a dangerous shot by Deniz Amstutz in the 11th minute. Philipp Fuchtel took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fred Groneberg. Fred Groneberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 17 played minutes Löveling got a freekick which was hit by Fredrik Banz. In the 18th minute Philipp Fuchtel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred Groneberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Philipp Fuchtel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deniz Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna Ballendorf's zone, Deniz Amstutz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörg Haller came out of the goal and Deniz Amstutz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Fortuna Ballendorf's Jörg Haller got control of the ball when Deniz Amstutz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Deniz Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Löveling's Bastian Frommelt got a free kick in the 35th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Löveling's goal looked a bit too open when Philipp Fuchtel came free, but Fred Groneberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Löveling's zone, Philipp Fuchtel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fred Groneberg came out of the goal and Philipp Fuchtel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christof Overkamp in the 42nd minute of play forced Löveling's goalkeeper Fred Groneberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Deniz Amstutz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Deniz Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philipp Fuchtel struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Fred Groneberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortuna Ballendorf. 63 minutes into the game, Reinhard Sitter recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Fred Groneberg. Reinhard Sitter showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. In the 67th minute, Fabio Popitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Deniz Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fortuna Ballendorf's goalkeeper Jörg Haller, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the game, one of Löveling:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Fortuna Ballendorf a penalty, 74 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ambrosius Lunau, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Löveling's Fred Groneberg. 0-3. Fred Groneberg made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Christof Overkamp sent off a good shot on target. In the 81st minute, Löveling's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Christof Overkamp fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Deniz Amstutz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Christof Overkamp got free with Fred Groneberg in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fred Groneberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philipp Fuchtel in the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Deniz Amstutz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Löveling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Fortuna Ballendorf getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Reinhard Sitter hit a great ball. Fortuna Ballendorf's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
