The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute of the match Morten Heinsch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferit Petzolt skillfully saved the ball. When Lee Hertl fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored fc-augustin's protests and gave Lee Hertl a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to fc-augustin getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Lee Hertl hit a great ball. Fritz Rudolf Bieling struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Ferit Petzolt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for fc-augustin. When Fritz Rudolf Bieling came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the fc-augustin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Rudolf Bieling couldn't finish the play. 24 minutes into the game, fc-augustin's Fritz Rudolf Bieling nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ferit Petzolt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 30th play minute Fritz Rudolf Bieling came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ferit Petzolt. 2-0. Fritz Rudolf Bieling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferit Petzolt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Eckehard Dupke managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ormont's supporters rose to their feet, but Eckehard Dupke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timm Abernett breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rainer Hollinghausen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainer Hollinghausen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Manfred Lazarus to strike the kick off in the second half. Fritz Rudolf Bieling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferit Petzolt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Fritz Rudolf Bieling might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferit Petzolt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fritz Rudolf Bieling ran back to his position shaking his head. When Wolf Bock fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ormont's protests and gave Wolf Bock a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave fc-augustin a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Lester Lammers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Ormont's Ferit Petzolt. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fritz Rudolf Bieling in the 66th minute of play forced FC Ormont's goalkeeper Ferit Petzolt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rainer Hollinghausen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lee Hertl was shown his second yellow card after 73 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 74 played minutes fc-augustin got a freekick which was hit by Lee Hertl. In the 74th minute of the match Arne von Egidy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Timm Abernett skillfully saved the ball. Timm Abernett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rainer Hollinghausen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hubertus Paziorek fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Ormont's protests and gave Hubertus Paziorek a yellow card for diving instead. Hubertus Paziorek kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Rainer Hollinghausen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Timm Abernett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eckehard Dupke took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Timm Abernett. Timm Abernett dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Eckehard Dupke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Timm Abernett made a huge save. After a rather tough play, fc-augustin's Lucian Degner got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rainer Hollinghausen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timm Abernett having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Ormont players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for fc-augustin.
