FC Wuppi's Christoph Göttling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ephraim Schapper in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Eberstadt Pfungstadt's Gino Möller got a free kick in the 10th minute. A collision led to Eberstadt Pfungstadt getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gino Möller hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beppo Lantermann in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgar Brechtheimer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute Ephraim Schapper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Göttling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beppo Lantermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, Gino Möller was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Eberstadt Pfungstadt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Wuppi the free kick. The FC Wuppi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 95th minute FC Wuppi were awarded a corner. Krister Hüter went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led FC Wuppi's Krister Hüter to fire away a dangerous shot which Edgar Brechtheimer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Edmund Blättgen came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the FC Wuppi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmund Blättgen couldn't finish the play. FC Wuppi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
