Lars Moser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knud Bauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Knud Bauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Lars Moser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Knud Bauer in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lars Moser saved FC Bernhardswald from getting behind. 30 minutes into the game, Emanuel Wenauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bernhardswald's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wartjenstedt FSV the free kick. The Wartjenstedt FSV fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Wartjenstedt FSV's Connor Irtel looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Wartjenstedt FSV's Michael Eilenfeldt got control of the ball when Fritz Teucke tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

But to his dismay, Connor Irtel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The FC Bernhardswald fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wartjenstedt FSV were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
