Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jes Bellmann started the match with the kick off. When Eckhard Haaf came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the barsa01 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eckhard Haaf couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute Hendrik Klingler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Brockmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in barsa01's zone, Jes Bellmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Zellier came out of the goal and Jes Bellmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. barsa01's Albert Zellier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jes Bellmann in the 16th minute of play. Mauritz Kraus's late challenge caught a Rhode's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauritz Kraus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 21st match minute, barsa01 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mauritz Kraus to maneuver through the defense. Dittmar Schramm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Rhode booed when barsa01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Gebhard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, barsa01's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jes Bellmann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jes Bellmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Zellier having to interfere. Jes Bellmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Zellier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. The supporters of Rhode booed when barsa01 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Kieckbusch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rhode's Nico Brockmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eckhard Haaf in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Marco Welp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rhode fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 52 minutes, Sean Kieckbusch mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the barsa01 and the Rhode players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to barsa01 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Sean Kieckbusch hit a great ball. Eckhard Haaf struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Nico Brockmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for barsa01. After a rather tough play, Rhode's Peter Illmann got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 59th match minute, barsa01 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sean Kieckbusch to maneuver through the defense. Eckhard Haaf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nico Brockmann having to make a save. 72 minutes into the game, Marco Welp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rhode's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave barsa01 the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Marco Welp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hendrik Klingler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Nico Brockmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feridun Lubbatsch kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in barsa01's zone, Dittmar Schramm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albert Zellier came out of the goal and Dittmar Schramm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 86 minutes of play, Rhode's Dittmar Schramm made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Zellier was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albert Zellier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dittmar Schramm in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute Peter Illmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Zellier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rhode walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
