Felix Gröger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Herrndorf's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. In the 4thth minute of the game Marc Herrndorf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FSV Mainz 05's Felix Gröger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kubach FC's zone, Christian Grimmelshausen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Uebach came out of the goal and Christian Grimmelshausen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Herrndorf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Levi Sakellariou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Günther Rhein charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Günther Rhein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Gröger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Herrndorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Marc Herrndorf blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Gröger having to make a save. After some careless play in the FSV Mainz 05 defense, Marc Herrndorf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felix Gröger. The FSV Mainz 05 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felix Gröger should have stopped the shot. In the 25th minute, Raphael Kennerknecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FSV Mainz 05's Christian Grimmelshausen got a free kick in the 29th minute. Felix Gröger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Herrndorf, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Kubach FC's Josef Seider nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Felix Gröger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marc Herrndorf to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Levi Sakellariou got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, FSV Mainz 05's Felix Gröger got control of the ball when Marc Herrndorf tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frederic Streit charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Günther Rhein got his second yellow card in the match during the 69th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to FSV Mainz 05 getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Günther Rhein hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marc Herrndorf in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felix Gröger saved FSV Mainz 05 from getting behind. Felix Gröger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Seider in the 72nd minute of the match. Felix Gröger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marc Herrndorf's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Josef Seider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Heynemann hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Frederic Streit got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The FSV Mainz 05 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kubach FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
