The supporters of FC Poldi booed when FSV Sachsenkicker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fritz Bärenhart didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Block took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Saussle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19thth minute of the game Richard Buckmüller who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Poldi's Waldemar Schiele was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Hakan Schwarzer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldemar Schiele. FC Poldi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakan Schwarzer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leif-Eric Hübner in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Waldemar Schiele saved FC Poldi from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yannik Küpper during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FSV Sachsenkicker! The audience thought a goal was coming when Friedemann Schubert got free with Marco Block in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Block showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Saussle, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leif-Eric Hübner in the 39th minute of play forced FC Poldi's goalkeeper Waldemar Schiele to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FSV Sachsenkicker's defense didn't have a chance, in the 40th minute, when Jens Hennecke scored to the left of an out of position Marco Block, making the score, 2-2. Marco Block made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raphael Blees in the 45th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Saussle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Schiele came out of the goal and Leif-Eric Hübner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Fritz Bärenhart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldemar Schiele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richard Buckmüller in the 84th minute. Hakan Schwarzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
