Spectators: 7124 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Timur Dülberg started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walter Szesni got free with Joerg-Uwe Marsing in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 minutes of play, Adelheidsdorf FSV's Oliver Pässler made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christopher Posch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Christopher Posch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Pässler, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Oliver Pässler managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adelheidsdorf FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Pässler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Posch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Adelheidsdorf FSV's Timur Dülberg in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. TuS Grevenbroich's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st minute, Karlheinz Schlepphorst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timur Dülberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Adelheidsdorf FSV booed when TuS Grevenbroich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeff Orthaus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christopher Posch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver Pässler, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Adelheidsdorf FSV's zone, Walter Szesni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joerg-Uwe Marsing came out of the goal and Walter Szesni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeff Orthaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Adelheidsdorf FSV were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeff Orthaus to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Timur Dülberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Adelheidsdorf FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Timur Dülberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Pässler who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 56thth minute tested the skills of Christopher Posch when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 57th minute, Karlheinz Schlepphorst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Pässler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Christopher Posch made a huge save. Frederic Kölbl kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Adelheidsdorf FSV's Erwin Schwering couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for TuS Grevenbroich. Oliver Pässler's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christopher Posch firmly grabbed it by the left post. Christopher Posch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timur Dülberg in the 65th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Timur Dülberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christopher Posch was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save TuS Grevenbroich from getting a goal against them. Christopher Posch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Ole Adomeit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Adelheidsdorf FSV had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
