Hermann Heidsiek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kornelius Högl in the 19th minute of play. Hermann Heidsiek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Norman Betzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in BergstreetBoys Juniors's zone, Kornelius Högl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hermann Heidsiek came out of the goal and Kornelius Högl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 25th match minute, BergstreetBoys Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Northe to maneuver through the defense. If Rupert Bäron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ulli Friedrichs hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Einfeld FC's Burkhard Schmitt seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Burkhard Schmitt the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Einfeld FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Burkhard Schmitt had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, one of Einfeld FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Einfeld FC. If Kornelius Högl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kornelius Högl was the one to do the kick off. Kornelius Högl scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hermann Heidsiek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudio Rosenbaum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mirko Malz having to make a save. BergstreetBoys Juniors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Einfeld FC the free kick. After 63 played minutes BergstreetBoys Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Schmiedel. Thanks to some nice moves Kornelius Högl could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Hermann Heidsiek however easily saved by the left post. Mirko Malz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Rosenbaum, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Ulli Friedrichs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Hermann Heidsiek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kornelius Högl got free with Hermann Heidsiek in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eberhard Rüttiger in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hermann Heidsiek, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The supporters of BergstreetBoys Juniors booed when Einfeld FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Karp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 played minutes BergstreetBoys Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Northe. When Domenico Tippelt fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BergstreetBoys Juniors's protests and gave Domenico Tippelt a yellow card for diving instead. Domenico Tippelt kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. BergstreetBoys Juniors were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Einfeld FC for a fine match.
