When Adam Menger came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Schümersmühle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adam Menger couldn't finish the play. 13 minutes into the match, Schümersmühle's goalkeeper Elia Klimke had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Thies Hell. Billy Straubinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gisbert Berlich in the 15th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gisbert Berlich in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Billy Straubinger saved Königsblau Schalke from getting behind. After 19 played minutes Königsblau Schalke got a freekick which was hit by Gereon Fauth-Rank. Billy Straubinger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan Ernst in the 24th minute of the match. If Adam Menger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adam Menger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billy Straubinger having to interfere. Gisbert Berlich received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Billy Straubinger came out and tried to block the shot, but Gisbert Berlich slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 52nd minute. After a rather tough play, Königsblau Schalke's Gereon Fauth-Rank got a free kick in the 55th minute. Adam Menger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hermann Giebenrath received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Billy Straubinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joseph Schaaf kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by Königsblau Schalke's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adam Menger was slow to take the kick. During this time Schümersmühle's players had a chance to rest. Dieter Wosnitza was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 68 minutes into the match, Edgar Kühlert had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elia Klimke. Schümersmühle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgar Kühlert was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. 71 minutes into the match, Schümersmühle's goal looked a bit too open when Hinrik Verheyen came free, but Elia Klimke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 played minutes Königsblau Schalke got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Kühlert. When Hermann Giebenrath came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Schümersmühle fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermann Giebenrath couldn't finish the play. Leon Kessler hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Nathan Ernst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Billy Straubinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Delron Dückert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schümersmühle's supporters rose to their feet, but Delron Dückert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Billy Straubinger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gisbert Berlich got free with Billy Straubinger in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
