Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Michael Knebel started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswald Notthoff in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Peter-Michael Gerig saved Viktoria Köln from getting behind. Peter-Michael Gerig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oswald Notthoff, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Michael Knebel took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Peter-Michael Gerig. Peter-Michael Gerig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Oswald Notthoff hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Pavel Kuttner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Omar Piepenburg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Achim Metzner kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, David Kies sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Viktoria Köln's Peter-Michael Gerig didn't even have to move. Michael Knebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Gerig having to interfere. Peter-Michael Gerig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Knebel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pavel Kuttner got free with Omar Piepenburg in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Lukas Schrembs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viktoria Köln's supporters rose to their feet, but Lukas Schrembs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Omar Piepenburg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Langenbaum FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Emanuel Klöffer scored to the left of an out of position Omar Piepenburg, making the score, 1-1. 38 minutes into the game, one of Langenbaum FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Ingo Heinzmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Langenbaum FC's Omar Piepenburg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Langenbaum FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Langenbaum FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Oswald Notthoff hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Klöffer to strike the kick off in the second half. 61 minutes into the match, Ingo Heinzmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Omar Piepenburg. Langenbaum FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingo Heinzmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Viktoria Köln's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Michael Knebel scored to the left of an out of position Peter-Michael Gerig, making the score, 3-2. Michael Knebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Gerig having to interfere. Peter-Michael Gerig didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswald Notthoff went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Michael Knebel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Gerig having to interfere. Omar Piepenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Klöffer in the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Viktoria Köln booed when Langenbaum FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswald Notthoff didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Emanuel Klöffer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Piepenburg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pavel Kuttner's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute Achim Metzner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Piepenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ingo Heinzmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Emanuel Klöffer notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Langenbaum FC's Omar Piepenburg. Omar Piepenburg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Kuttner in the 93rd minute of play forced Langenbaum FC's goalkeeper Omar Piepenburg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Langenbaum FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
