Albo Koffler struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Michail Ernstberger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Croatia. In the 7th minute, Jürg Jakob hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. August Hagen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pitt Hornung's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Albo Koffler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Michail Ernstberger made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pitt Hornung in the 26th minute of play forced Croatia's goalkeeper August Hagen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Croatia's August Hagen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Winfried Kochert in the 28th minute of play. Ludwig Blüher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Michail Ernstberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vfl-327's Pitt Hornung in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Croatia's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Winfried Kochert was the one to do the kick off. Michail Ernstberger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reimund Hütt in the 54th minute of the match. Albo Koffler blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michail Ernstberger having to make a save. Michail Ernstberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Justus Gotthard, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. A collision led to Vfl-327 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jens Baum hit a great ball. Albo Koffler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michail Ernstberger having to interfere. Croatia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Pitt Hornung scored to the left of an out of position August Hagen, making the score, 2-1. Winfried Kochert kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Vfl-327's Pitt Hornung was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 77th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Winfried Kochert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Butzendorf charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan Butzendorf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vfl-327 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Croatia. Albo Koffler stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Michail Ernstberger. 3-2.
