The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Robert Cürten made a precise shot to the right of Naohiro Ber. DIEGO 18's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Naohiro Ber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Schurer in the 6th minute of play. Matthias Schurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute, Anton Bereths ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naohiro Ber was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Naohiro Ber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthias Schurer in the 18th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Sven Schindler left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Drögenbostel FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. DIEGO 18's Jörg Höfner quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wieland Reimann, made in the 25th minute of the game. Naohiro Ber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Schurer in the 29th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, DIEGO 18's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Schurer came free, but Naohiro Ber reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, DIEGO 18's Henning Pajonk got a free kick in the 54th minute. A collision led to Drögenbostel FSV getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Robert Cürten hit a great ball. Wieland Reimann made in the 69th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anton Bereths. Matthias Schurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naohiro Ber made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Sven Schindler sent off a good shot on target. Naohiro Ber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Schurer in the 79th minute of play. Naohiro Ber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anton Bereths in the 81st minute. In the 82nd minute, Drögenbostel FSV's Robert Cürten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. The DIEGO 18 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naohiro Ber should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute of the game, Robert Cürten landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Henning Pajonk's late challenge caught a Drögenbostel FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henning Pajonk helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to DIEGO 18 getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Henning Pajonk hit a great ball. Sven Schindler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Naohiro Ber made a huge save. When the match was over Drögenbostel FSV could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DIEGO 18 throughout the match.
