After 14 played minutes Irmenach FSV got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Burghausen. Jaap von Gyldenfeldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ricky Kuckhoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricky Kuckhoff showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaap von Gyldenfeldt in the 20th minute of the match. Rudolf Reisinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerke Hennig having to interfere. After 36 played minutes Ponlehen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Arnim Kircher. Ricky Kuckhoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaap von Gyldenfeldt in the 40th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, Jaap von Gyldenfeldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ricky Kuckhoff was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 51st minute, Rudolf Reisinger made a precise shot to the right of Gerke Hennig. Ponlehen FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jaap von Gyldenfeldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricky Kuckhoff. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaap von Gyldenfeldt ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricky Kuckhoff made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Jaap von Gyldenfeldt sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute, Josip Braner left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Irmenach FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Arnim Kircher struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ricky Kuckhoff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponlehen FSV. Jaap von Gyldenfeldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jaap von Gyldenfeldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ricky Kuckhoff made a huge save. Ricky Kuckhoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The Irmenach FSV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ponlehen FSV's performance. The match ended with a win for Ponlehen FSV.
