Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Claus Meng started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Edoburg's attentive Detlef Mohs managed to snatch the ball when Ingo Muchalla made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Hans Merges charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hans Merges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Hans Merges kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ochtersum's Hjalmar Mantel got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gunter Knoll made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alban Schweizer in the 22nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Edoburg's Kai Paschen got a free kick in the 29th minute. A hard shot 30 in the game by Eduard Stein from a close distance when the talented Gunter Knoll managed to make a qualified save. Edoburg's players were relieved. Claus Meng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alban Schweizer made a kick off. Claus Meng succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 56th playminute. Alban Schweizer might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gunter Knoll. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alban Schweizer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Eduard Stein left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ochtersum fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claus Meng got free with Remo Marks in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunter Knoll came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Ochtersum's Alban Schweizer. But to his dismay, Alban Schweizer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Raphael Wuttke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Remo Marks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Alban Schweizer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunter Knoll was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Eduard Stein kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Ochtersum's goalkeeper Remo Marks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eckard Mahler. The audience was convinced that Alban Schweizer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gunter Knoll was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Edoburg's Gunter Knoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alban Schweizer in the 92nd minute of play. Claus Meng in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Remo Marks, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Eckard Mahler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ochtersum fans cheered their team off the field, for while Edoburg had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
