Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claus Meng started the match with the kick off. Claus Meng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cosmo Venekamp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eckard Mahler struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Cosmo Venekamp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Edoburg. Vlado Naud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gunter Knoll having to make a save. Frederik Hoffmeier kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Vlado Naud left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nüttel FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Edoburg getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kai Cyzewski hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play, Nüttel FC's Herbert Bruhn made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunter Knoll was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Herbert Bruhn made a precise shot to the right of Gunter Knoll. Edoburg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Gunter Knoll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlado Naud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Claus Meng kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cosmo Venekamp. That made the score 1-3 in the 45 minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vlado Naud was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Edoburg booed when Nüttel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Bartol didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claus Meng in the 61st minute of play forced Nüttel FC's goalkeeper Cosmo Venekamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosmo Venekamp came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Edoburg's Kai Paschen. But to his dismay, Kai Paschen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Edoburg's Gunter Knoll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vlado Naud in the 67th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Edoburg's goal looked a bit too open when Vlado Naud came free, but Gunter Knoll reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Herbert Bruhn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gunter Knoll. Edoburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herbert Bruhn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After 81 played minutes Nüttel FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederik Hoffmeier. Claus Meng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Nüttel FC got a freekick which was hit by Mario Bartol. After 92 played minutes, Edoburg's Hans Merges shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cosmo Venekamp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Edoburg reached it. Gunter Knoll showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vlado Naud in the 93rd minute of the match. The Edoburg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nüttel FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Nüttel FC.
