Spectators: 7511 (Terracing: 5634, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Camillo Abertonnen took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Hofmeister in the 6th minute of play forced Bentfeld's goalkeeper Claus Deling to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bentfeld's zone, Dieter Therre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claus Deling came out of the goal and Dieter Therre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias von Cube kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Camillo Abertonnen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimar Lenke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of TuS Erkersreuth booed when Bentfeld was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimund Stemmer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dieter Therre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Claus Deling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Nicolas Hofmeister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Claus Deling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Therre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurent Hinschberger got free with Raimar Lenke in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Hofmeister took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Claus Deling. Claus Deling dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 37th minute Dieter Therre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claus Deling saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieter Therre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Deling having to interfere. Claus Deling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dieter Therre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 48th match minute, TuS Erkersreuth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dieter Therre to maneuver through the defense. After the first half TuS Erkersreuth were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieter Therre to make the kick off. Mathias von Cube hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Nicolas Hofmeister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dieter Therre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claus Deling having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemens Thielen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Claus Deling. That made the score 0-3 in the 80 minute of play. The supporters of Bentfeld booed when TuS Erkersreuth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Sewerin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Bentfeld's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nicolas Hofmeister fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Claus Deling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicolas Hofmeister in the 87th minute. If Dieter Therre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurent Hinschberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Raimar Lenke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Hofmeister might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claus Deling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicolas Hofmeister ran back to his position shaking his head. TuS Erkersreuth's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
