Spectators: 7217 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1717, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Karsten Gelb kicked off to start the match. In the 5th minute, Tim Zahn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute of the match, Pio Köhler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Igor Heinekamp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Zahn in the 8th minute of play forced FC Simon 1978's goalkeeper Igor Heinekamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, SG Groß Stieten's Jona Heiden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Heinekamp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 14 played minutes FC Simon 1978 got a freekick which was hit by Lauritz Birkwald. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pio Köhler in the 23rd minute of play forced FC Simon 1978's goalkeeper Igor Heinekamp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jona Heiden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Zahn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Igor Heinekamp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SG Groß Stieten's Jeremy Förg quite brazenly broke a throw-in by André Kammer, made in the 46th minute of the game. Jeremy Förg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Heinekamp having to interfere. When Rocco Koerlin fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Simon 1978's protests and gave Rocco Koerlin a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 played minutes FC Simon 1978 got a freekick which was hit by Rocco Koerlin. Tim Zahn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Pio Köhler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Igor Heinekamp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tim Zahn in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Heinekamp saved FC Simon 1978 from getting behind. A collision led to FC Simon 1978 getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Lauritz Birkwald hit a great ball. Tim Zahn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Heinekamp having to interfere. Bero Münnecke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karsten Gelb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jona Heiden blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Heinekamp having to make a save. Jona Heiden might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Heinekamp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jona Heiden ran back to his position shaking his head. Pio Köhler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jona Heiden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Faul took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bero Münnecke. Bero Münnecke dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see SG Groß Stieten lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
