With a little luck, Steinhorst FSV's Benedikt Gehling got control of the ball when Carsten Thomale tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Steinhorst FSV getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Brix Dürr hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Steinhorst FSV's Erich Auerbach sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elard Köhn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Max Wagefeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedikt Gehling having to interfere. Elard Köhn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erich Auerbach in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, 1.CFR Pforzheim's goal looked a bit too open when Erich Auerbach came free, but Elard Köhn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 1.CFR Pforzheim's Elard Köhn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Auerbach in the 35th minute of play. Elard Köhn came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Steinhorst FSV's Benjamin Kornrumpf. But to his dismay, Benjamin Kornrumpf quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Benjamin Kornrumpf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benjamin Kornrumpf struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Elard Köhn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steinhorst FSV. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erich Auerbach to strike the kick off in the second half. Erich Auerbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Elard Köhn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute Erich Auerbach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elard Köhn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Armando Bähr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Max Wagefeld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Erich Auerbach made a precise shot to the right of Elard Köhn. 1.CFR Pforzheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 77 minutes into the match, Steinhorst FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Max Wagefeld came free, but Benedikt Gehling reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of 1.CFR Pforzheim booed when Steinhorst FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brix Dürr didn't get a good kick on the ball. Max Wagefeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedikt Gehling having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Ronald Krause was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1.CFR Pforzheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Steinhorst FSV the free kick. A collision led to 1.CFR Pforzheim getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Ronald Krause hit a great ball. The Steinhorst FSV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
