In the 22ndth minute of the game Henrik Keute who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bahrenfeld FSV's Placido Heermann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Krister Rexhaus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Florian Junker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Richard Brechensbauer got free with Placido Heermann in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nikolas Henschel kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Bahrenfeld FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Brechensbauer came free, but Placido Heermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute Steffen Horsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Rexhaus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bahrenfeld FSV's Christian Heise got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Steffen Horsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Krister Rexhaus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Heise fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Rexhaus having to interfere. A hard shot 93 in the game by Steffen Horsch from a close distance when the talented Krister Rexhaus managed to make a qualified save. VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's players were relieved. Atze Stiller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bahrenfeld FSV's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
