After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Ted Knoerig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gostingen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ted Knoerig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Krister Rexhaus breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's Klemens Storz got a free kick in the 7th minute. After 10 minutes, Rik Anzengruber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VfB Preussen Greppin 1911 and the Gostingen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ted Knoerig in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 18th minute, Irvin Wittmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 24th minute Caspar Heim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Rexhaus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irvin Wittmann came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Krister Rexhaus could save by the left post. Maximilian Böhmländer hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 36 minutes of play, VfB Preussen Greppin 1911's Richard Brechensbauer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hermann Haas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the match, Gostingen's goal looked a bit too open when Henrik Keute came free, but Hermann Haas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Henrik Keute made the kick off in the second half. Ted Knoerig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krister Rexhaus having to interfere. Hermann Haas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Keute, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After 70 played minutes Gostingen got a freekick which was hit by Marko Wüsthoff. If Henrik Keute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 75th minute, Henrik Keute got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henrik Keute sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Gostingen's goalkeeper Hermann Haas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Brechensbauer. In the 85th match minute, Gostingen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Irvin Wittmann to maneuver through the defense. Irvin Wittmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
