Spectators: 7302 (Terracing: 5652, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Walther Kapell started the match with the kick off. Paul Schulze's late challenge caught a Dammducht FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paul Schulze helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Höven:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dammducht FSV:s goal. Hannes van Slooten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ken Jüngling in the 7th minute of play. Balthasar Thiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walther Kapell in the 9th minute of play. David Ehlert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Balthasar Thiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walther Kapell in the 12th minute of play forced Dammducht FSV's goalkeeper Balthasar Thiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13thth minute of the game Walther Kapell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dammducht FSV's Balthasar Thiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chris Sacher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Balthasar Thiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ben Reinhard fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dammducht FSV's protests and gave Ben Reinhard a yellow card for diving instead. Ben Reinhard kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Dammducht FSV defense, Walther Kapell kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Balthasar Thiel. The Dammducht FSV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Balthasar Thiel should have stopped the shot. Balthasar Thiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Schmiedel, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes into the match, Höven's goalkeeper Hannes van Slooten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olaf Burgmeier. 33 minutes into the game, Vito Schmiedel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Balthasar Thiel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walther Kapell in the 37th minute of play forced Dammducht FSV's goalkeeper Balthasar Thiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dammducht FSV's Balthasar Thiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Ehlert in the 39th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Volkmar Bodewig was the one to do the kick off. Dammducht FSV's Balthasar Thiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Dammducht FSV from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dammducht FSV's goalkeeper Balthasar Thiel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chris Sacher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Balthasar Thiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Walther Kapell's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 57thth minute, Balthasar Thiel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Walther Kapells short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Balthasar Thiel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chris Sacher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Balthasar Thiel was a little too slow when Walther Kapell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 69th minute of the match Otto Rauschendorfer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hannes van Slooten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute Olaf Burgmeier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannes van Slooten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Volkmar Bodewig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dammducht FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Volkmar Bodewig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hannes van Slooten breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Heinrich Hoos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Dammducht FSV's Balthasar Thiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walther Kapell in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Dammducht FSV's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vito Schmiedel fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. David Ehlert took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Balthasar Thiel. Balthasar Thiel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walther Kapell in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Balthasar Thiel saved Dammducht FSV from getting behind. After 90 played minutes Dammducht FSV got a freekick which was hit by Kim Zischewski. The long shot by Walther Kapell in the 90th minute really tested Balthasar Thiel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 94 minutes into the match, Höven's Conrad Schauerhammer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Balthasar Thiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded Höven left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dammducht FSV.
