The referee felt a red card was in order, 5 minutes into the game, when Robin Barthes put in a rough tackle. In the 4th minute, one of More1:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for More1. In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Berge United. Arnold Bleile stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Patrick Lötzer. 0-1. After a rather tough play, More1's Jens Denck got a free kick in the 10th minute. Patrick Lötzer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustav Schabbel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. More1's Patrick Lötzer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Schabbel in the 14th minute of play. Niklaus Schubert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reiner Gaede in the 16th minute of play. A collision led to Berge United getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Didi Eichhorn hit a great ball. In the 34th minute Gustav Schabbel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Lötzer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, More1's goal looked a bit too open when Gustav Schabbel came free, but Patrick Lötzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ralph Schleiter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Niklaus Schubert made a huge save. After having played for 43 minutes, Sven Olano de managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Berge United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Olano de was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gustav Schabbel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Lötzer having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gustav Schabbel was the one to do the kick off. Gustav Schabbel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustav Schabbel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Patrick Lötzer. That made the score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, More1's goalkeeper Patrick Lötzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Derek Mrozik. Gustav Schabbel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Lötzer having to interfere. After some careless play in the More1 defense, Derek Mrozik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patrick Lötzer. The More1 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Lötzer should have stopped the shot. In the 77th play minute Derek Mrozik came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Patrick Lötzer. 0-5. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reiner Gaede in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niklaus Schubert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind More1's goalkeeper Patrick Lötzer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Derek Mrozik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Berge United's supporters rose to their feet, but Derek Mrozik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Lötzer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustav Schabbel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The More1 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patrick Lötzer should have stopped the shot. More1's Patrick Lötzer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save More1 from getting a goal against them. The Berge United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
