After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Kasimir Lingemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. BSG Gera Süd's supporters rose to their feet, but Kasimir Lingemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Predrag Pistauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kasimir Lingemann struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Predrag Pistauer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BSG Gera Süd. Niels Rech lost his temper 23 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of FC Meder:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BSG Gera Süd:s goal. Kasimir Lingemann might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Predrag Pistauer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kasimir Lingemann ran back to his position shaking his head. Predrag Pistauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Schaumann in the 33rd minute of play. Frederik Schaumann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Predrag Pistauer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frederik Schaumann in the 37th minute of play forced FC Meder's goalkeeper Predrag Pistauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frederik Schaumann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, FC Meder's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Schaumann came free, but Predrag Pistauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 played minutes FC Meder got a freekick which was hit by Udo Jackisch. Malte Koppelberg charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Malte Koppelberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes BSG Gera Süd got a freekick which was hit by Malte Koppelberg. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dragoslav Reinke made a kick off. With a little luck, FC Meder's Predrag Pistauer got control of the ball when Frederik Schaumann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Predrag Pistauer was a little too slow when Frederik Schaumann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederik Schaumann got free with Predrag Pistauer in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in FC Meder's zone, Frederik Schaumann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Predrag Pistauer came out of the goal and Frederik Schaumann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frederik Schaumann got free with Predrag Pistauer in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, FC Meder's goal looked a bit too open when Kasimir Lingemann came free, but Predrag Pistauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Allan Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes FC Meder got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Schuster. Udo Jackisch hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Kasimir Lingemann got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ted Gratz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Kasimir Lingemann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kasimir Lingemann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Predrag Pistauer having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded BSG Gera Süd left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Meder.
