Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Holger Erhart ran back to his position shaking his head. 10 minutes into the match, Mantershagen FSV's goalkeeper Elmo Krämer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthew Della. After 12 minutes of play, Mantershagen FSV's Luis Stanke made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gero Rausch was left in no man's land by his defense there! Graham Müller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elmo Krämer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ingo Hovermann's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Matthew Della fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmo Krämer having to interfere. In the 24th minute Ingo Hovermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmo Krämer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matthew Della had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Graham Müller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gero Rausch having to interfere. Matthew Della received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Elmo Krämer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Matthew Della came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the TSV Moorenweis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthew Della couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luis Stanke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Matthew Della had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Mantershagen FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Della came free, but Elmo Krämer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gero Rausch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Stanke, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Graham Müller struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Gero Rausch didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mantershagen FSV. 76 minutes into the game, Holger Erhart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mantershagen FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TSV Moorenweis the free kick. After 77 played minutes Mantershagen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Holger Erhart. Elmo Krämer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ingo Hovermann went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 81 played minutes TSV Moorenweis got a freekick which was hit by Fedor Kuckhoff. After a defensive mix-up in TSV Moorenweis's zone, Graham Müller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gero Rausch came out of the goal and Graham Müller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gero Rausch made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Graham Müller sent off a good shot on target. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
