Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jakob Goebel took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, FC Hamburg's Wilhelm Küpper got control of the ball when Ingmar Nettig tried to sneak it across the goal line. Henrik Franiel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaclav Schmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Vaclav Schmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Hamburg's supporters rose to their feet, but Vaclav Schmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrik Franiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrik Franiel came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Hamburg's Jakob Goebel. But to his dismay, Jakob Goebel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18thth minute of the game Bobby Finkenrath who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Zufallstreffer's Henrik Franiel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dennis Hellwig charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Hellwig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dennis Hellwig kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Wilhelm Küpper made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Ingmar Nettig sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Jakob Goebel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hamburg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 35th minute Jakob Goebel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrik Franiel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute, Eugen Rieth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henrik Franiel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Jakob Goebel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrik Franiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Woldag in the 46th minute of play forced FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Wilhelm Küpper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half FC Hamburg were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Woldag made a kick off. Bobby Finkenrath could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Henrik Franiel made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Hamburg's zone, Ingmar Nettig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilhelm Küpper came out of the goal and Ingmar Nettig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joachim Butzer's late challenge caught a FC Hamburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joachim Butzer helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Hamburg booed when FC Zufallstreffer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Butzer didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Zufallstreffer's Henrik Franiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Finkenrath in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Jakob Goebel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrik Franiel. FC Zufallstreffer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jakob Goebel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. In the 81st match minute, FC Hamburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspard Das to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hamburg's goalkeeper Wilhelm Küpper, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jakob Goebel in the 88th minute of play forced FC Zufallstreffer's goalkeeper Henrik Franiel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joschka Amberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilhelm Küpper having to interfere. In the 95th minute Ingmar Nettig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilhelm Küpper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Hamburg's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
