Hartmut Kosch scored 1-4 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Achmed Gref, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 44th minute Virgil Degener shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achmed Gref saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Udenborn were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ari Frijia made the kick off in the second half. Hartmut Kosch's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Achmed Gref firmly grabbed it by the left post. The supporters of Udenborn booed when FC Grafing Stadt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredi Buß didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herbert Schieder charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 92 played minutes Udenborn got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Frank. If Ari Frijia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
