Melchior Schweickert was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 20 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Grafing Stadt! After some careless play in the FC Grafing Stadt defense, Ferdinand Bechmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Achmed Gref. The FC Grafing Stadt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Achmed Gref should have stopped the shot. In the 63rd minute, Ari Frijia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wolfram Zellier was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. FC Lengerich 23's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bastian Jelden was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Grafing Stadt fully deserved thier win.
