Joris Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Germann in the 4th minute of play. Stephan Dabrock stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dieter Kästner's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Sange's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Ryan Germann scored to the left of an out of position Joris Bülow, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, Sange's Joris Bülow got control of the ball when Stefano Henrich tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Ryan Germann came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Polonia Neu-Ulm fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Germann couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Sange's zone, Ryan Germann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joris Bülow came out of the goal and Ryan Germann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ryan Germann in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joris Bülow prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Joris Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ettore Plückebaum in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Sange booed when Polonia Neu-Ulm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Germann didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th match minute, Polonia Neu-Ulm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ingolf Roppel to maneuver through the defense. Stefano Henrich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Polonia Neu-Ulm booed when Sange was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Frankenhauser didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ryan Germann hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Christos Thies hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Ryan Germann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dieter Kästner, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 86 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Stephan Dabrock was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 88 minutes, Ryan Germann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Polonia Neu-Ulm and the Sange players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 89th minute, Ryan Germann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stephan Dabrock made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Dieter Kästner sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Germann in the 95th minute of play forced Sange's goalkeeper Joris Bülow to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Polonia Neu-Ulm were the better team. Polonia Neu-Ulm's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
