Spectators: 8066 (Terracing: 6051, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olaf Wegl started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes of play, FC Suhl's Gero Lehn made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Markus Vollmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to FC Suhl getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Paul Dammann hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Timo Wohl in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Markus Vollmann saved Hülkenbüll FC from getting behind. Timo Wohl charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Timo Wohl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willibald Gabler got free with Eugen Zachariassen in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 20th minute Timo Wohl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Vollmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC Suhl's Timo Wohl in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hülkenbüll FC's goalie prevented a goal. 24 minutes into the match, Hülkenbüll FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Wohl came free, but Markus Vollmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Simon Ebbing fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hülkenbüll FC's protests and gave Simon Ebbing a yellow card for diving instead. Simon Ebbing hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hülkenbüll FC's zone, Timo Wohl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Vollmann came out of the goal and Timo Wohl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 30th minute, Hülkenbüll FC's Simon Ebbing ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eugen Zachariassen. Eugen Zachariassen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Gero Lehn managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Suhl's supporters rose to their feet, but Gero Lehn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Markus Vollmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joseph Andresen hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute of the match Timo Wohl shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markus Vollmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

In the 52ndth minute of the game Timo Wohl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hülkenbüll FC's Markus Vollmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eugen Zachariassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Baum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 53rd minute, Otto Baum left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hülkenbüll FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a rather tough play, Hülkenbüll FC's Otto Baum got a free kick in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Gero Lehn put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Markus Vollmann. The crowd rose to their feet as Gero Lehn kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Markus Vollmann. That made the score 2-4 in the 62 minute of play. Hülkenbüll FC's Markus Vollmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gero Lehn in the 65th minute of play. Axel Patzelt kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Hülkenbüll FC's Otto Baum got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Timo Wohl rounded Hülkenbüll FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-5. FC Suhl's Wolfram Steele was substituted for Pascal Kornrumpf. If Gero Lehn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paul Dammann kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. FC Suhl made a substitution. Philip Amsoneit replaced Gero Lehn. After 82 played minutes FC Suhl got a freekick which was hit by Paul Dammann. 83 minutes into the game, Olaf Wegl cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Eugen Zachariassen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Markus Vollmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Amsoneit, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The FC Suhl players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
